Conisbrough & Denaby Main Heritage Group

The group has over 7000 photographs, many will be available on their website soon. The website is about the history of the two villages of Conisbrough and Denaby Main and the people who have lived here.

The Conisbrough & Denaby Main Heritage Group was started in October 2000 by a handful of people who were interested in making the history of Conisbrough & Denaby Main available to everyone. The next year they started collecting photographs of the area to save them from being lost or destroyed. They hold monthly talks with a local or historical connection at The Ivanhoe Centre.

The photographs can be seen on the first Friday and Saturday of each month from September through until June on The Heritage Landing in Conisbrough Library, when members of the Group are there to assist and answer questions on local or even family history. Tea, coffee and biscuits are available. They also have a small permanent display of pictures in the library that is changed each month.
