Burial Research Open Day

As part of Heritage Open Days we are holding a free drop-in session in the Samuel Worth Chapel in the centre of the Cemetery site where you can come along and meet our Burial Researchers. Whether you’re tracing your ancestors, curious about people who previously lived in your home or you’re interested in the monuments in Sheffield General Cemetery, our dedicated researchers will be able to assist you. Bring along any details you have – names, addresses or approximate dates – and they will help you find out more.

Our cafe and bookstall will be open from 10.30am to 3.30pm and our Architects & Architecture exhibition and paper trail will be free to enjoy.
