Derbyshire Archaeology Day
Our popular Archaeology Day is returning to the Winding Wheel Theatre this year.
The event will be held on Saturday 20 January 2024 from 9.45am to 4.15pm.
The line-up of speakers includes Tristan Cousins from York Archaeology, Alison James and Michael Lobb from MSDS Marine and Thomas Booth from The Crick Institute with many more to be announced.
Subjects range from ‘Holbrook’s Hidden Heritage’ to ‘The Medieval Origins of Shirebrook’ with other talks also focusing on the study of Ancient DNA and results of recent excavations.
