Elsecar Heritage Walk

There is a FREE Heritage Walk planned for 25th February, in Elsecar – details below

We will be taking in the Dove and Dearne Canal Basin, following the route of the Tramway Trial, inching our way up the Incline Plane to the sites of the Milton Ironworks and Elsecar High Colliery. Then having a wander into Skiers Springs Wood, returning via the hamlets of Alderthwaite and Skiers Hall, returning via Elsecar Reservoir, to the Park, for a well-earned cuppa in the café.

Starting from Elsecar Heritage Centre, this walk is just under 3 miles, is not fully accessible and moderate in difficulty and will last approximately two hours.
