Handsworth Historical Society hosts Hillary Widdowson: ‘Painted Fabrics Limited’

The talk is about Painted Fabrics Ltd, a little known, but very important piece of local social history. It was an enterprise which started with art classes held as part of therapy and rehabilitation for veterans of the Great War. It eventually became an organisation that provided permanent employment and a home for these wounded men.
