Movements, Materials, and Memories: Prehistoric Life in the Uplands and Lowlands of Great Britain
People come to know places by inhabiting their textures and contours, carrying their community’s shared history through the world’s physical characteristics. Long before the written language as we know it existed, people lived and thrived across Britain, forming cultures, kinships, and collective memories. This talk invites you to reflect on the materials, landscapes, and lives of prehistoric Britain.
Talks are held in St Mary’s Church, free carparking available at the church community hub. Great public transport links, 52, 52A, 30, 95, and X5 bus routes to Handsworth Top.
Tea and Coffee available for a small donation.
After the talk, the group usually gathers at the Chantry Inn to socialise.
