Hillsborough and Owlerton Retale

Hillsborough and Owlerton Local History Group are showing four 16mm cine films,digitally converted by The York Film Archives with a Heritage Lottery Grant. The films have been further edited and condensed into a one hour film. They show a way of life which, had it not been for these films,would have been lost.  The films are a delight to watch.

The films are from the early 1930s  to the early 1950s. They are of local people, brass bands, Whit walks, days out to the country and seaside and many more interesting activities, including The Star Walk on Middlewood Road.
