A two hour guided walk around one of the few remaining walled barracks in this country, led by Ron Clayton. Come and explore its walls, turrets and powder magazine erected in the reign of Queen Victoria. Find out about its connection with the Charge of the Light Brigade, the Sheffield Flood of 1864, its memorials and George Lambert VC.
Ron Clayton is a professional Sheffielder, wit and raconteur and local historian (a phrase he hates).
Meeting point is by main entrance to the Barracks on Langsett Road, next door to The Interchange. S6 2LR
