JUHS bi-monthly meeting

A reminder that our next bi-monthly meeting is on Tuesday 25th July 2023 at 10:30am and is a “hybrid” meeting, so you can either attend in person at Weston Park Museum (Activity Room 3) or online via Zoom at:

Our guest speaker will be Mary Grover of Reading Sheffield, who will speak about her book Steel City Readers. Described as “a fascinating and important study … a rich and rare resource”, the book is based on oral history of the books read by ordinary people in Sheffield 1925-55. Mary plans to bring along some of the books enjoyed by the readers that she interviewed.
