Know Your Place Exhibition

Schools across Sheffield have been exploring what makes our city special, how it has evolved, and what matters to them now. The Know Your Place exhibition shows their creative insights into Sheffield’s heritage and its lively neighbourhoods!

As part of Historic England’s Heritage Schools Programme, Create Sheffield, Sheffield Museums Trust, Wessex Archaeology, Manor Lodge, Sheffield Archives and the National Emergency Services Museum have taken a multi-partner approach to providing heritage training for Primary school teachers working in Sheffield.

The Know Your Place exhibition is the result of work done back in the classroom with support from creative practitioners. The teachers wanted to explore who, what and where is important to their pupils. They then created fantastic artistic responses to share what they have discovered with you.

The exhibition will be open from Saturday 5 July to Friday 8 August during normal library opening hours and more info can be found in the attached flyers.
