Ruskin Comes to Walkley – and also to Totley

It is 1875. The celebrated art critic and social prophet, John Ruskin, founds a museum in Walkley. He then buys a farm in Totley for some Sheffield ‘Communists’. But Ruskin and the ‘Communists’ had conflicting ideas…….

All are welcome to a dramatised play reading of this new play with music in two acts by David Price and Frances Gray about Ruskin’s initiatives in Sheffield.

No tickets. Admission is free but a collection at the end of the performance for the two churches involved – St Mary’s, Walkley, and St Mark’s Broomhill.
