Scissors Paper Stone Events 2024

Scissors Paper Stone is a community history project exploring the origins of St John’s Church in Ranmoor: the people who built it, the community which founded it and the people it served.

2029 marks the 150th anniversary of the building of the first church, almost totally destroyed by fire in January 1888. The tower and spire alone survived. Only twenty months later the church you see today was completed.
