Sheffield Amateur Radio Club (SARC) Centenary Day

SARC were formed in 1920 by former signallers in the aftermath of WW1. The Club has continued and grown embracing each new wave of technology. There will be historical displays of equipment – from morse code, early radios through to the latest satellite technology; the Arnhem living history group; Doncaster Aero-venture Museum; history of radar; historical models of planes and other military vehicles and local history. In addition, there will be short videos and a flight simulation model running of the area as it was in 1919/ 1920.
