“Sheffield Jewish Archives” Show & Tell Morning

Last Year the Archives held an event exploring the history of Jewish people and places in Sheffield.

The event was oversubscribed and in response to this enthusiastic interest the Archives will be holding a free “Show & Tell Morning”, in the Archives Search Room.

The event will include:

· A display of items from the United Synagogue, Sheffield Jewish Congregation and Centre “Sheffield Jewish Archives”

· A ten-minute introductory talk about the material from the cataloguing archivist

· A forum for discussion about the material and historical Jewish Sheffield.

This event is for anybody interested in finding out about Sheffield’s Jewish history through the archive material, as well as those who wish to share stories and memories of Sheffield’s Jewish heritage.

The cataloguing archivist will be on hand to answer any enquiries and provide guidance for further research using the collection.

Refreshments will be available at the end of the event.
