Sheffield’s strong historic connection with football has had a lot of publicity lately – here is your chance to find out why! Football historians Steve Wood and John Stocks will deliver the presentation they gave to the International Football History Conference held in Cardiff earlier this year.
Steve and John will explain how Sheffield’s unique early association football culture evolved from cricket and folk football to play a decisive role in creating the rules based modern game.
