Walkley Historians – Rawson Spring: A Perambulation of a Lost Wood

Rawson Spring Wood, between Walkley Road and Langsett Road, had disappeared by the 1850s, but you can still find traces of its boundaries in the urban landscape. What went on there, and what exactly was a ‘spring wood’?
