Friends of Meersbrook Hall

Meersbrook Hall is a Grade II listed building in Meersbrook Park in south Sheffield. It was the home of the Ruskin Museum for over 60 years.  We would love Ruskin’s vision of inspiring people through the arts to be realised once more in this wonderful building.

Sheffield City Council own Meersbrook Hall and it was home to their Parks and Countryside department until 2016.  When they relocated their staff there were fears that the Hall would be sold into private hands.  The Friends of Meersbrook Hall formed to prevent this. Working in partnership with Heeley Trust a thriving programme of activities and events were hosted at the Hall from 2016 – 2020.  The Hall is temporarily closed whilst the council undertake fire safety work.
