Sheffield General Cemetery Trust & The Samuel Worth Chapel
Sheffield General Cemetery trust works in partnership with Sheffield Council to manage a valuable green space in the heart of the city. The site is of unique historical importance and a haven for wildlife, a tranquil place for all to enjoy. Opened in 1836 and with the last burial in 1972, now preserved as a mixture of meadow, woodland and monuments.
The site also has a unique fully equipped events venue, The Samuel Worth Chapel (Grade II* Listed Georgian non-conformist) which is fast becoming a popular location for weddings, music, film and parties.
