Castlegate Video Tours

The Castlegate Festival planned for September – October  had, inevitably, to be migrated online. One nice result, however, is that several videos are available on the Council’s website, at https://www.sheffield.gov.uk/home/campaigns/CastlegateFestival.

There are tours inside the Old Town Hall and the Terminal Warehouse at Victorian Quays, together with a very interesting kayak trip under Lady’s Bridge, where you can see the remains of the original medieval bridge. The videos are on YouTube so should be available long-term too.

The Festival site also has lots of information about people connected with Castlegate in the past, and its old street names.
