Friends of Graves Park need your help!

Graves Park

Please sign their petition to Sheffield City Council: Allow FOGP to Complete the Arboretum on the Old Nurseries Site in Graves Park Now.

The Friends of Graves Park have just launched this petition to try and get the next section of the Norton Nurseries site released for restoration to parkland. Their goal is to reach at least 1000 signatures and we need your support. You can read more and sign the petition here: https://chng.it/4bcsFVd25x

The Nurseries site has been confirmed by the Charity Commission as charitable parkland and part of J G Graves’s gift to the people of Sheffield to be kept as parkland forever. Sheffield City Council have previously tried to dispose of it for housing, and to lease it to St. Luke’s Hospice. Now they are referring to it as a depot, for the storage of large machinery. Graves Park has a rich and varied history, and as well as being a much-loved park is a very important heritage asset to the city. Please help Friends of Graves Park to publicise this and get signatures by signing and sharing their petition.
