Finding Lost Norton Park: Digging Deeper for All
Following the great success of the Friends of Graves Park in securing a £142,770 grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund they can now offer two exciting new opportunities.
1. Invitation to tender for the community archaeology work
The Friends of Graves Park & SYBRG are sending out an invitation to tender for some community archaeology work that is part of the National Lottery Heritage Fund supported project “Finding Lost Norton Park: Digging Deeper for All”. The brief can be found here. This is a project which has developed out of different smaller projects organised by both the Friends Group and SYBRG. Information on some of our previous work, is available at https://www.ukeconet.org/lostnortonpark.html Attached is the invitation to tender document for your guidance. Completed submissions need to be emailed to christinehandley2@outlook.com by 12 noon on Friday 24th February 2023 and we anticipate appointing the contractor by 17th March 2023.
2. We are currently advertising for a Community Engagement Worker to work alongside us supporting and facilitating the project’s activities. The post is part-time, ideally starting in March.
