Bradfield village’s excellent location on the north east fringes of the Peak District, with close proximity to long-distance trails and a superb variety of shorter walks around local villages, and spectacular reservoirs means that it has something special to offer walkers, whether visitors or local residents. As a member of the Walkers are Welcome network, Bradfield is aiming to attract visitors to the area to find out for themselves the huge variety of scenery and local amenities on offer.
Many in this collection of walks include historical notes on places of heritage interest along the way. Two walks are in particular focus on heritage:
- Walk around historic Low Bradfield
- The Great Sheffield Flood
Guided walks based on Local History and the Flood are also available.
